A Karmic Turning Point ~ Illuminated by Insight and Elevated Intuition
The final Full Supermoon of 2025 at 13° Gemini is astrologically significant and eye-catchingly spectacular! A defining moment of illumination that clarifies what was once hidden or confusing, that helps us to make peace with the past, and align with our fated path forwards.
It’s one of the highest rising Full Moons that we will see until 2042, and will be closer and brighter in the sky. The reason being, that currently we are in the midst of a “Supermoon Season” that also coincides with the peak of a Major Lunar Standstill.
A Supermoon occurs when the Moon is at the closest point to Earth in her orbit, making her bigger and brighter in the sky. This is the third Full Supermoon of 2025 following ones in October (Aries), November (Taurus) – with a fourth to follow in January (Cancer) 2026.
The Major Lunar Standstill is an astrological event in the Moon’s 18.6 year cycle, when the Moon’s rising and setting points reach their most extreme northern and southern limits on the horizon. The current Major Lunar Standstill started to build in 2020, peaks in 2025 before fading out into 2029.
Astrologically Supermoons accentuate lunar energy, and a Major Lunar Standstill is a period of extreme behaviour by the Moon, which stirs-up and amplifies lunar energy.
Since the Moon holds sway over our emotions, intuition, family ties and ancestry, the Major Lunar Standstill can lead to dramatic emotional reactions, powerful intuition, and karmic, fated, events and decisions.
At this lunation, the Sun at 13° Sagittarius, and Moon 13° Gemini are exactly square the Lunar Nodes at 13° Virgo/Pisces. A mutable Grand Cross – and a karmic crossroads in the sky. The Major Lunar Standstill underlines the fated significance and permanence of the decisions we make, and the path we choose to follow now. And this also means this lunation will be most influential and relevant to people with mutable (Gemini/Virgo/Sagittarius/Pisces) planets or angles.
This Full Supermoon brings truth to light – an elevated perspective and conscious awareness of – our emotional truths, beliefs and options. Mercury, ruler of Gemini, is moving forward again after being retrograde from 9th – 29th November (but is still in the post-shadow zone until 17th December). The mental fog is lifting, and what has been confusing starts to make more sense, as clarity is gained around information, facts and messages – all that shapes our inner, private script and outer, shared, story and reality.
Saturn – planet of karma and discipline – whose retrograde also recently ended on 28th November, means that lessons we have been learning since July, when Saturn went retrograde, are coming to fruition and are ready to be put into practice.
Which all combines to show a picture revealing that we can no longer live our lives based around old stories or structures. That this Full Supermoon will likely bring an undeniable truth to our conscious awareness. A realisation we could be sort of fated (forced) to acknowledge.
