Navigating the threshold between endings and new beginnings
This is the final lunation of 2025. A New Moon of spiritual depth, helping us to weave the wisdom from all that has ended into a tapestry of future possibilities. A transitional time between our old reality and the new, as we integrate lessons from this year’s insights and set the stage for new beginnings in 2026.
The New Moon takes place at 28° Sagittarius, conjunct the Galactic Centre which is at the heart of The Milky Way. The Galactic Centre is a potent, fascinating, not fully understood place in the sky that astrologically represents source, the spirit world – all that lies beyond the physical. Which suggests enhanced awareness of our connection to spiritual energy is possible now, along with spiritual insights, and that any intentions we set now are seeded with this energy.
Adding to this powerful spiritual current, the New Moon also activates the long-term Uranus-Neptune sextile that brings opportunity for significant personal and collective spiritual awakening until 2027. But this alignment, as the New Moon is square Saturn and Neptune in Pisces and quincunx Uranus(Rx) in Taurus also highlights the potential challenges – the confusion, hard choices, and necessary adjustments we may face.
As under this New Moon we are being urged to let go of the past, to bless all that has come to an end and embrace the reality of where we actually are now. As so much of the old has slipped away – but we also perhaps haven’t fully stepped into the new. We are navigating the threshold between endings and beginnings, the last page before a new chapter begins.
The Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus are all in Sagittarius, and Mars has just entered Capricorn, so all the personal planets are clustered in a focused area of the zodiac. The lunation, along with Venus and Mars (the relationship planets) are square Saturn-Neptune creating tension. Which places a focus on relationship themes along with the potential for challenges in our relationships. The Saturn-Neptune square may also highlight the gap between our ideals/dreams and our current reality, as well as areas where we may have been confused or feel insecure.
Saturn and Neptune are closing in on their exact conjunction in Aries (20th February 2026) igniting fiery beginnings that embrace a new self-awareness and responsibility for our true purpose. Saturn-Neptune are currently at the end of Pisces, indicating the completion of cycles and the finality of all that has ended. Saturn-Neptune are dissolving old foundations and revealing necessary truths – giving us a reality check – so we can create meaningful, more personally authentic new chapters in our life in 2026. Saturn-Neptune also reminds us of the significance of our intuition and our spiritual practices at this moment. To have faith whilst enduring challenges, that it’s all part of our soul’s plan for growth and evolvement.
The Moon and Mars are both out of bounds, which means their energy is more wild and rebellious – heightened emotional sensitivity and hyper motivation. Venus will also go out of bounds on 21st December. A surge of intense, unpredictable energy with the (cosmically designed) potential to disrupt old patterns and spark creative, transformative change.
A New Moon that is a powerful catalyst in the Sagittarius zone of our chart, igniting new visions and greater understanding. A portal to the future that emphasises opportunities for spiritual expansion that lead to significant, fated, new beginnings.
Wishing New Moon blessings to all X
