They Have Taken A Little Step Into The Spirit Side Of Life

Recently my brother and our precious dog have stepped into the Spirit side of life, bringing about me wishing to share some heartfelt thoughts about grief. As being the medium in my family, they turn to me for understanding and to find a sense of peace, since when loved ones step into spirit it can appear to be a complete end – it is in truth just the end of a chapter, as we never truly lose anyone. I believe knowing and understanding this spiritual truth is an essential part of healing.

Because as a medium I live with one foot in the physical world and one in the spiritual world. I work alongside spirit to bring that bridge of communication from people’s loved ones in spirit. It is such a privilege and honour to be in the energies with spirit, to be able to bring evidence of the continuance of life and healing messages to those who are navigating the loss of loved ones. Holding space for those who are grieving is part of my work.

Equally as life unfolds it brings many lessons, and every personal loss further deepens my understanding and awareness. Leading me to say that, if more people understood the spiritual truth and realised they can learn to tune into the spirit world it would bring so much comfort, and to the world being a much kinder, more connected place.

As I know – without a shadow of a doubt – that life continues. That death is an illusion – the soul separates from the physical body – but the soul continues to exist. That our deepest bonds never break, that only our connection and how we communicate changes when our loved ones return to spirit. But, as both the spiritual truth of eternal life and the human truth of physical loss are experienced at the same time, it means this knowledge does not spare any of us from the sadness of grief. The pain of knowing we will never physically see or hold our loved one again in this lifetime.

However –  understanding the spiritual truth does give the strength to face the journey of healing ahead, to start to learn to live with the physical loss. Grief alters the structure of life, strips away daily routines and roles, forces a reshaping of life and personal identity. A process that leads to scabs forming over the open wounds of grief, whilst also knowing that the wounds will leave a permanent scar.

Grief is a deeply individual experience that doesn’t follow a set of rules. It is entirely personal, and differs depending on the unique bond we shared with who we have lost and the space they held in our lives. How we process our feelings and navigate daily life looks distinctly different, if we are mourning a child, a partner, a parent, a sibling, a friend, or a pet – our animal family.

Grief brings you into a state of conscience, sensitivity, and awareness where you want to know where your loved one has gone. Grief fades out the physical world and brings the spiritual world closer. The veil between them lifts to expand your awareness and connection to spirit. Your loved ones continue to communicate with you through your feelings, your dreams, and many, many other signs. Your relationship with them is ongoing, and you can learn to sense them around and tune into their guidance. Grief guides us all back home to spirit, to the eternal strength of spirit, and to spiritual growth.

Healing from grief can’t be rushed, our tears flow, our heart aches, but through coming to an understanding of grieving and feelings that we have lost somebody, we never lose anyone – our loved ones have taken a little step into the spirit side of life – is how you can come to a greater understanding and wisdom of spirit, and the spiritual world.

To know with certainty that who has moved from the physical body to spirit can never truly be lost. To have complete faith that the connection isn’t broken and your relationship is ongoing – just different. And though out of sight your loved ones in spirit are your truest guides, who are cheering you on to move forwards and make progress in life. To step into your potential and your soul’s plan for this lifetime, until it is your time to step into spirit and be reunited with your loved ones.

Grieving can significantly open up and heighten your spiritual sensitivity. Experiencing a profound loss strips away your routine roles and everyday distractions, forcing you to turn inwards to figure out who you are without them. Shifts your mind to focus on questions about death, the purpose – and the fragility – of life. To seek a deeper understanding of our existence.

Everyone is sensitive, but going through the grieving process can also open up and deepen your  sensitivity to the spiritual world. You can learn how to develop this wonderful gift and spiritual connection with a professional tutor. As a medium I have taught many people to develop and learn how to communicate with those in the spiritual world.

Death is an illusion, talk to your loved ones – they will always answer and guide you. The answer may arrive as a feeling, a sudden shift in temperature around you, a tingle of a touch, hearing a message in the lyrics of a song, or a random conversation with a stranger. The possibilities of how spirit communicates are endless – listen, and feel with every sense for the answer. Spirit wishes to communicate with us in the physical world, as much as we wish to communicate with them in the spiritual world.

Life is eternal, death is an illusion. The more people that recognise and understand this would transform the process of grief, and lead the physical world to become more heart-centered and peaceful. Unconditional love.
