The Solar Eclipse at 28° 56 Aquarius is square Uranus and conjunct Mars.
Electric, feisty and liberating!
This eclipse breathes life into the future, around our dreams, goals, and priorities, our relationships and role in society.
Eclipse energy by nature is a little wild and unpredictable, and revolutionary Uranus and warrior Mars both awaken and further stir up this energy.
The eclipse square Uranus suggests swift, stunning and potentially dramatic changes. Surprising breakthroughs that release constraints. The conjunction with Mars emphasises the speed and a fiery, courageous, impulsive nature of events. Along with the possibility for some conflict.
Observe, flow and reflect
Unexpected and sudden changes mean we could feel tense and uncertain, it may also lead to some friction and disagreements. We are best to try and observe, flow with events and adapt as they unfold. And reflect, as inner contemplation can help us clarify what’s ending and illuminate our future path.
Saturn is the traditional ruler of Aquarius, Uranus the modern, so both are rulers of this eclipse.
And on 20th February we have the much anticipated Saturn-Neptune conjunction at 0° Aries.
Saturn and Mars rule all the other planets at this eclipse and are in Mutual Reception, as Saturn in Aries is ruled by Mars, and Mars in Aquarius is ruled by Saturn. Meaning Saturn and Mars strengthen and support each other. A potent blend of discipline and drive to create new structures and lasting results.
The Sabian Symbol for 29° Aquarius is – “A Butterfly emerging from a Chrysalis”
Dane Rudhyar in An Astrological Mandala gives us the Keynote: “The capacity to utterly transform the character of one’s consciousness by radically altering the structural patterns of everyday living and the types of relationships one enters upon.”
He also says this degree shows: “the potential ability of every human being to participate in a higher realm of evolution after his or her emergence from a critical state of transition.”
Saturn has just left Pisces, where he has been teaching us lessons about spiritual and emotional maturity, and mentoring us to release old karmic bonds and cycles.
The outer planets – Uranus, Neptune and Pluto – are all in a rare, potent, harmonious alignment, a Minor Grand Trine (2024 -2028). Neptune is the apex planet of this magical, transformational triangle, and so Saturn plugs into, and activates it (2025/26).
This favourable support helps us. As Saturn and Uranus working together offers up a flow of inspiring energy to structure (Saturn) and align with changes (Uranus) that are practical (Saturn), free-spirited, liberal-minded and future-orientated (Uranus).
Old illusions and circumstances are falling away. New, liberating more authentic ways of being and intentions in life are coming into focus!
