A Realignment of Mind, Body, and Soul

An emotional release as old chapters close and soul growth as spiritual wisdom is illuminated

On 3rd March a powerful Total Lunar Eclipse occurs, when the Earth aligns between and blocks the illumination of the Sun from the Moon. A lunar eclipse that is also known as a Blood Moon, as in areas where the eclipse is visible the Moon becomes red during totality, with the Earth creating a shadow and filtering the sunlight onto the Moon turning her a deep, glowing copper red.

This is also a South Node Lunar Eclipse, which means it has to do with the past – what is holding us back and doesn’t support our growth – what we need to release and progress forwards from. A moment that invites us to gain a deeper understanding and alignment with our soul’s path, and ways to nurture a natural, harmonious flow between our mind, body, and soul. Whatever has been dwelling, veiled in the darkness of our unconscious mind will come to light and into our conscious awareness.

With the Sun, Mercury Rx, Venus, Mars and the North Node in Pisces, and the eclipse sextile Jupiter in Cancer, this is likely to be an emotionally transforming and spiritually awakening eclipse, an illumination of spiritual wisdom and our soul’s path forwards. And what is revealed, is likely to be deeply felt and understood on an intuitive, soul-level before it is fully known and understood mentally and logically. Which all unites to signify that this is likely to be a potent and emotional eclipse. An emotional surfacing of all that is ending and needs to be purged, cleared and healed for our soul’s growth.

This lunar eclipse in Virgo reveals how taking care of earthly practicalities – our daily routines, work and health – may have gotten unbalanced with our spiritual ideals and soul’s path. And it may well be something we are already sort of aware of. This eclipse illuminates how our spiritual life and our daily reality are not two separate realms, and really need to be in harmony for our highest well-being. And will help bring to light in what ways we may perhaps have neglected either one, when we actually need to integrate them. As our body and earthly surroundings are a mirror for, a reflection of our inner self and our soul.

The moon in Virgo is directly opposite the Sun in Pisces, and the Virgo-Pisces axis bridges the gap between earthly reality and the spiritual realms, reminding us of the importance of taking care of our mental, physical and spiritual well-being. Our mind, our body, and our soul. And that to materialise our spiritual ideals and attain our dreams whilst taking care of our daily realities, we need to unite Virgo’s practicality, order and discipline with Pisces spiritual faith and surrender to trusting the divine for the unfolding of our soul’s plan. Pisces provides the intuition and vision, Virgo provides the logic and structure. Pisces flows, Virgo is meticulous about details, and they find favourable equilibrium in sacred order and structured surrender, enabling a harmonious merger of reality and spirituality. So this is a moment when we are called upon to purify our daily habits, our environment and align our earthly actions with our spiritual flow – our intuition, insights, ideals, vision and dreams.

This eclipse will illuminate any physical blocks, mental clutter or emotional turmoil that is inhibiting our spiritual growth and inner peace. Reveal clarity about a routine, relationship or job that is draining. Will bring out into the open where we may be overthinking, too self-critical, anxious, hung up on details/perfectionist, in roles that don’t align with our ideals and are unsustainable, let chaos take over in our home/work environment, neglected our health or ignored/sacrificed our physical and emotional needs.

And help us discover compassionate (Pisces) ways to refine and reorganise our daily routines, to let go of old mind sets and lifestyle habits that no longer support our well-being and embrace new routines. By using physical, mental and emotional issues/imbalances as a guide for initiating changes, releasing the need to fix everything perfectly, and making small, consistent, sustainable changes that help bring mental clarity, physical well-being and creates space for and supports our spiritual ideals and dreams – our soul’s purpose and plan.
