A powerful alignment that merges Neptune’s spiritual vision with Saturn’s grounding force. This rare conjunction encourages spiritual growth and opportunities to bring dreams into material reality.
Saturn conjunctNeptune on 20th February brings to a close the Saturn-Neptune cycle that began in 1989 and launches a brand new cycle. The foundations of life are being restructured and we are at – The threshold of a new era and reality.
The Aries Point
Saturn and Neptune meet roughly every 36 years to start a new cycle, but meeting at 0° Aries – The Aries Point a significant “World Point” in astrology that marks the intersection of the celestial equator with the ecliptic, the spring equinox and the very first degree of the entire zodiac – is huge. This is an exceptionally rare event, and the last closest Saturn-Neptune conjunction near the Aries Point was at 2° in Aries in 594 BCE.
This is the start of a new era and reality that is elevated and supported by the current rare connection of the outer planets in a powerful Minor Grand Trine – a magical triangle.
A Bridge between the Divine and Reality
Spiritual Neptune and Earthly Saturn form a bridge between the divine and reality, between the visible and the invisible – and the veil between the unseen and the seen is lifting.
Spirituality, vision, ideals and illusions (Neptune) meets earthly reality, structure and discipline (Saturn) in Aries, the sign of initiative and personal identity. As the first sign of the zodiac, Aries is the warrior, the leader, and encourages us to do heroic deeds and be the hero of our own story.
A moment when we are being asked to structure and build our future guided by our soul’s highest purpose, keeping in mind how our actions could potentially benefit others, not just ourselves. To take charge of our lives and have responsibility for our own actions. And whilst we can keep our head in the clouds (Neptune) we need to keep our feet (Saturn) on the ground. As our dream has to be authentically aligned with our beliefs and achievable, not an illusion or built on false promises.
It requires taking the initiative, some sweat and dedication – to do and become – what makes us feel truly passionate, vibrant and alive. Building the future we imagine, whilst aiming to merge and ground our highest ideals and make it a purposeful future – that creates a positive, guiding influence for others, with promise for leaving a positive legacy – plants seeds that will flourish for future generations.
“All the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seeds of today” (An Indian proverb)
Minor Grand Trine
The outer planets – Uranus, Neptune and Pluto – are all in a rare, potent, harmonious alignment, a Minor Grand Trine (2024 -2028). Neptune is the apex planet of this magical, transformational triangle, and so Saturn plugs into, and activates it (2025/26).
The magnificent French astrologer Andre Barbault in Planetary Cycles Mundane Astrology says about the Saturn-Neptune conjunction:
“The next conjunction in 2026 is centrally placed at the beginning of Aries and is in a triangular quartet of planets with a double sextile to a trine between Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius.
It is the most benefic configuration of the century and its interplanetary partnership will work best in a splendid relaunch of civilisation. It contains a harmonious relationship between primordial opposites; the coming together of the external and the internal, rational and spiritual, mind and soul … human beings surpassing themselves while experiencing life on a higher level.”
A gradual transformation
Definitely uplifting! And blissful to imagine and ponder, but may sound a little elusive – too good to be true – at this moment in time when the world, and life, feel so heavy. The Saturn-Neptune conjunction means old structures and ways are being dissolved (Neptune) and the rebuilding (Saturn) commencing – which will take time (Saturn).
The Minor Grand Trine is a potent, magical catalyst, but not an instant fix. The magical triangle is providing long term cosmic support – through until 2028 – and a massive shift in the background energy. Which helps us to discover the right path forwards, and empower our long-term plans – a magical spark of initiative, that we have to co-create with by applying effort and intentional action. We may feel powerless, but working consciously, and ethically, with the energy is mighty powerful. Just by putting out positive thoughts, and being optimistic about the beneficial changes for humanity ahead, makes a difference.
Potential challenges
The old is ending, and there is certainly some potential that we will face some chaos, disruption, protests, and even conflict. Collectively the global community feels a sense of disenchantment with how things stand in the world. Uncertainty, and an atmosphere of depression about the future has watered down motivation and optimism. An awareness of discontent when ideals and dreams (Neptune) meet the hard facts of daily reality (Saturn).
Collectively we are shifting from exploring and merging with the oneness of all in the cosmic ocean of Pisces, to go on a journey of self-discovery in Aries. A process of dissolving the old “self” to become a more authentic version of ourselves.
In Pisces “we” are one and the individual ego surrendered, in Aries we are determining who am “I” now. From floating in unity, compassionate forgiveness and lack of personal responsibility – to individuality and personal accountability.
The mystical fog is clearing, and the flow of spiritual wisdom from Pisces into our personal identity, our ideals, truths and beliefs – our soul’s highest purpose – is sparking our inner fire. To be authentically ourselves and self-empowered.
In Aries the key themes are – Identity, Leadership, Personal Responsibility, and Pioneering/Building New Structures.
At this time exactly how the planetary influences of Saturn-Neptune in Aries will unfold is unknown, but looking back in time monumental change unfolded almost overnight at the last Saturn-Neptune conjunction in 1989.
The Fall of the Berlin Wall ~ Saturn-Neptune 1989
The last Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Capricorn, was exact 3 times in 1989, with the final conjunction being on 13th November. On 9th November 1989 The Berlin Wall fell. Capricorn rules governments, institutions, Saturn rules reality, barriers and walls, and Neptune dissolves. The Berlin wall falling was a literal manifestation of the energy, as the wall fell and the collective dream of freedom (Neptune) became reality (Saturn).
Resulting in the collapse of the Soviet Union – bringing an end to the Cold War – and the collapse of communist regimes across Eastern Europe.
While the Berlin Wall fell rapidly, followed quickly by the collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War – with German Reunification taking place 11 months later, and The Soviet Union dissolved 25 months after the fall of the wall, the full economic recovery took over 10 years.
Saturn, Neptune & The North Node in Pisces
Neptune has been in Pisces since 2011, Saturn since 2023, and the North Node of the Moon since January 2025 – encouraging a heightened awareness of unseen realities, the spiritual world, and desire for deeper spiritual connection.
A time of exploration in the sea of the oneness of all, and the veiled depths of the unconscious. An impulse to merge with, and surrender to the vast oceanic waters of Pisces, where the boundary between the ego and source dissolves; inviting us to plunge inwards for deep soul-searching, mystical musings, and immersing our imagination in the dreamscape to discover enticing dreams and possibilities for the future.
Spiritual Insights & Mystical Fog
A period which has seen spirituality becoming more mainstream, an increase in spiritual practices, a return to spiritual traditions, a deepening of faith, profound spiritual insights, along with inviting in enhanced empathy, idealistic visions, and artistic ideas.
Enrichment of spiritual wisdom and faith developed by navigating karmic endings, as old dreams, beliefs and structures dissolve – “the dark night of the soul”. A surrender to the flow of life that unfolds into experiences of deep spiritual insight, as illumination emerges out of emotional suffering becoming grounded into spiritual understanding.
Alongside there has also been a blurring of reality, a touch of mystical fog, which has simultaneously influenced and nurtured a connection with the divine but also brought a lack of clarity between facts and fantasy.
In the Age of Disinformation – fake news, false narratives, AI – generated media, AI- powered misinformation to purposefully deceive – there is a difficulty discerning between truth and illusion. A blurring of the collective and individual mindset, that clouds perceptions about defining core truths, beliefs, and what actually is “reality”.
A haze of uncertainty. Feelings of being deeply connected to the universe and a higher purpose, but unanchored in life. A puzzlement about the plan ahead, doubts and fears, as there is no clear destination in sight. Perhaps an awareness of being in a state of transition, as the old is ending and the new era is at the threshold – but not fully visible. Existing in an in-between space, one foot in, one foot out of two different realms.
A Balancing Act ~ The push – pull between fantasy and reality
As a result of floating in the waters of Pisces – where the imagination is stirred and fantasy flows – with Neptune and Saturn accompanying us, set in motion was a yearning to both escape from reality (Neptune) and manifest/ground in reality (Saturn).
A desire to retreat from the disillusionment, and exhaustion of dealing with reality through escapism – drifting into daydreams/fantasy lands, wasting time on social media/illusions, online addiction/screen dependency, hours of excessive sleep or numbing the pain with addictions.
Together with encouragement to take responsibility for our spiritual well-being. For spiritual endeavours, a pull to develop a disciplined routine of study/meditation/ritual/yoga to increase spiritual knowledge, enhance healing, and build inner strength. To connect the spiritual with the material, the soul with the body, to feel grounded rather than overwhelmed, dreamy and disconnected. The conscious creation of an internal anchor using our core beliefs to root reality.
There also emerged inspiration and motivation to manifest mystical visions. To channel dreams and imaginative ideas into enchanting, heartfelt creations. Art, music and words that are soul-stirring, that merge emotional or spiritual meaning (Neptune) into something real and enduring (Saturn).
From dreaming to doing
Which helps define how we (personally & collectively) are moving from confusion, disillusionment, and visions of change – Saturn and Neptune in Pisces – to confronting the fog and doing, with the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries revealing the cosmos is urging us to take action! Signalling the time has come for us to have faith in our spiritual insight, our ideals, and find the motivation (Aries), and discipline (Saturn) to structure the spiritual flow (Neptune) in reality.
Stay positive, have faith and trust the process of divine timing
Whilst our own personal struggles and difficulties, along with all the heavy world events might feel overwhelming, the universe and spirit world are supporting and guiding us. The cosmic energies – with Saturn-Neptune in Aries and the Magical Triangle – are aligned to give us faith in our intuition, courage to act authentically, to embrace our talents, and find supportive connections and community.
The old ways are dissolving to make way for an upgraded, more compassionate way of life and state of affairs in the world. We are part of the change, creating and building what comes next, the life we wish to live and the world we want to live in.
Trust the Process of Divine Timing and Spiritual Guidance by:
- Acknowledging that our current burdens and worries are part of our personal, spiritual lessons and ongoing journey of spiritual growth. Accepting where we are now and having faith that this is temporary, as spirit is helping and guiding us towards our soul’s highest purpose.
- Making time to consciously connect with our inner illumination and trusting in our soul-driven navigation to guide us through the changes and any uncertainty or fears.
- Focusing on our integrity and having compassion for other souls. Cultivating our inner sense of spiritual wholeness by ensuring we are clear about our personal boundaries and spiritual ideals/visions, as well as respecting and being sensitive of those of others, even if they don’t align with ours. Recognising that we all are on our individual personal journeys of spiritual growth.
- By protecting and valuing our personal energy and being gracious towards others as equals, we can connect and co-create with other souls from a positive, mutually supportive and beneficial space. Knowing we can say “No” if something doesn’t align with our path or values, by being clear and polite about where we stand but that we appreciate the input/offer.
- Structuring our dreams. Creating daily routines and spiritual rituals that support our desired path. We can even start by just spending 5 minutes each day to focus on and imagine what we wish our lives to look and feel like, and asking spirit for guidance ahead and if our dream truly aligns with us.
- Choosing conscious action. Setting intentions that align us one step at a time with our desired outcomes. Making small steps towards our goals that don’t feel overwhelming, as making our dreams (Neptune) reality (Saturn) is a marathon not a sprint. Grounding our vision will take patience and dedicated effort, it’s going to take time for dreams to take form and we need to trust the process of divine timing and that everything will unfold for us at the right time.
We are all walking this path together, believe in all you have to offer and the potential to achieve!
