The Stars are wise, ancient friends who illuminate our path to Spirit

It goes without saying that I absolutely love astrology! – But, here I wish to share a few thoughts about why I look upon the stars as wise, ancient friends, who illuminate our path to spirit.

Because given that heartbreak, especially around navigating illness, suffering, and grief has unfolded for us personally, starting with nearly losing our daughter last summer, as well as for family, friends, and in the collective, it feels essential. As throughout life we meet many opportunities to spiritually evolve and expand our consciousness when the divine uses the weight of darkness to erase superficial concerns and illuminate that love, our connection to each other, and spirit is all that truly matters.

And making friends with the stars helps us explore how they illuminate our way through darkness, through the alchemy of life, on a path back to spirit, and pull the veil back on the sacred union between spirit and the stars, between the divine and the soul.

At all times we are co-creating with the cosmos

Celestial energy is alive, vibrant & dynamic, a source of very real and discernable energies that we can and do – feel, experience and react to! The stars speak to us through astrology, a language of symbols that interprets the positions of the stars and planets as a celestial mirror, that reflects ourselves and the unfolding themes in the world around us.

At all times we are co-creating with the cosmos by using our free will to choose how we dance with celestial energy. The stars provide the music and the stage, but how we play our role is our choice. We can consciously align with the rhythm, be in tune and harmonise our performance or unconsciously just flow along, but potentially stumble if the music changes abruptly.

I also know that astrology can – especially – in our darkest hours help us immensely, offer us support and insight. Because for sure, at this point in time there is no denying that at times life can feel heavy, as collectively we are all being called to spiritually evolve and ground spiritual insights into real world change.

Thankfully, the stars give us a helping hand to make sense of this and contemplate the future.

And honestly, everyday I am grateful for the guidance, insight and perspective astrology provides. Since the dawn of time the eternal dance of the planets and stars has been gazed at, studied, and documented. That the celestial map describes the vibe and goings-on in the world – and our personal lives – is wondrously demonstrated by reviewing the past and contemplating the present.

If we observe and listen, the planets and stars carry the wisdom of the past into our present moment and whisper their ancient guidance in our ear.

An invisible tightrope suspended between the earthly and spiritual

As each day, we and our loved ones walk an invisible tightrope, suspended between the earthly and the spiritual. Dance along a veiled celestial path where fate and free will exist side by side and meet with the cycles of the planets.

A path that illustrates how our life can appear smooth and settled – until seemingly out of nowhere chaos, and even disaster erupts. The word ‘disaster’ literally means ‘bad star’ – a misfortune that transpires as a result of an unfortunate alignment of planets – but points out that our fate may be written in the stars, but how we handle disaster is our free will.

And until we come up against personally difficult times and meet with the vulnerability inbuilt in life face to face, we might be aware of the precariousness of life, but overall push it aside.

I mean you have to, it’s sort of obligatory!!

Of course, delightful and desirable turns of events can also arrive out of the blue, but good times by nature do not find us seeking comfort and guidance. We are enjoying ourselves, and filled with gratitude for how magical life can be.

Wise friends during dark times

Which brings me to how over the years the stars have been my wise friends during dark and painful times in my life. Wise friends who encourage and play a part in seeking out insight into ‘why is this happening?’ and ‘how do I handle it?”

The reality confronting you doesn’t change instantly – but – you can also see when it may begin to change, when a difficult transit will end. That the pain will not be so consuming, overwhelming, and agonising forever.

As to be honest, during dark times we truly can feel like a ‘victim’ of fate, bad luck, be asking ourselves “why me?” and “what have I, or my loved one, ever done to deserve this?”

Navigating the depths of grief is extremely traumatic. I say this in the shadow of losing my Dad when I was young, an overwhelming physical loss that I found totally incomprehensible and so unjust. And led to the beginning of my journey into astrology, and learning the language of the sky.

As astrology, helps to demystify and unravel such inner dialogues of anguish.

Our natal chart is a map of our unique energetic imprint

Illuminates that we are born at a moment chosen by our soul, when the energies most closely align with our personal energy and our souls plan for this lifetime. Our natal chart is a map of our unique energetic imprint. Our characteristics, strengths, challenges, and the important themes of this lifetime.

Whilst the ‘why’ something is happening can be a really tough one for us to wrap our mind around, it involves our soul’s plan for this lifetime. Our soul has planned to experience certain things, we just forget and have no memory that we have actually chosen to be here and experience this.

We are all spirit, have a soul, body and mind. Spirit is the universal life force, the divine spark and source of all, Soul is its individual expression (our spiritual self), the Body is its classroom for learning (our physical self), and the Mind is the bridge between the material and the spiritual.

The lunar nodes in our natal chart reveal our soul’s plan, and symbolise the meet up and connection of the Sun (spirit), Moon (soul) and Earth (physical embodiment).

The south node relates to the past, talents and wisdom we already possess along with behaviour and tendencies we need to leave behind. The north node to the new and unfamiliar lessons to learn in this lifetime for our spiritual growth.

Mind (Mercury) is the bridge, the messenger between the material and spiritual worlds. As the mind balances earthly intellect with spiritual intuition, allowing us to apply divine wisdom – a clear knowing about something, that comes from deep inside us – to our physical life and fully integrate the powerful force of our free will.

The alchemy of life

The ‘why’ is symbolically the alchemical process of turning lead into gold – of transforming the ‘lead’ of challenges into the ‘gold’ of wisdom and soul growth. Solve et Coagula, dissolve and coagulate. The dissolving of the old identity to re-formulate it into a new, more spiritually evolved identity.

The stars give us guidance, as they reveal that dark times and experiencing chaos has a divine rhythm and purpose.

The celestial cycles outlining the current transits to our natal chart unite to indicate the ‘when’ – are a celestial clock timing when experiences our soul planned to spiritually evolve are ripe to unfold.

Our free will is ‘how’ we choose to handle these experiences.

Our natal chart – our soul map – helps our mind understand ‘why’ old structures are breaking down and the pain we are in. Encourages deep reflection about ourselves, life, and invites in our intuition and spiritual guidance. And as a result can flip our inner narrative from feeling victimised towards enhanced self-awareness.

Then as we become clearer, and more connected to spirit, it leads the way towards adjusting our view and altering our perspective of ‘how’ to handle what we are experiencing. Whereupon we can begin turning fear into strength to start to transform or come to terms with what is dissolving.

Come up with unthought of options, that help us to discover or reconnect ourselves with the true depths of our inner strength, will power and spiritual self.

We can use the illumination of our chart and transits to guide us back home to spirit, to call on the eternal strength of spirit, and turn the lead of our struggles into the gold of spiritual evolvement.

Grief

Grief is the ultimate blackness, anguish and pain.

The physical loss of loved ones, the emptiness and emotional pain at knowing we will never see or hold them again, the love and support given and received in physical life gone – totally dissolves who we were and makes material concerns seem trivial and irrelevant.

We seek meaning, understanding and turn inwards where we discover spiritual reality becoming more visible.

The pain has a purpose. Grief forces us to stop looking outwards at the material and start looking inwards at the spiritual. And the veil between them lifts and expands our consciousness.

The stars remind us that who we have lost has moved from the physical body to spirit, but can never truly be lost, and that the mind connects us to spirit. While the physical form is gone, the essence remains.

Which leads me to how we are all psychic, we all have the ability to sense, feel energy, and connect with spirit, but mediumship is a specific gift – that I don’t have, but Paul, my amazing husband does. I don’t hear the whispers of spirit directly, but the stars lead me to the very edge of their world.

The stars light the way to the bridge that leads to spirit – the medium crosses the bridge to spirit

The stars light the way to the bridge that leads to spirit – the medium crosses the bridge to spirit.  The stars map the soul’s journey – the medium has direct communication, an ongoing dialogue with spirit.

It is through this sacred union between spirit and the stars, of astrology and mediumship that we see the full picture. The cosmos becomes alive, a living presence, and we start to understand the divine purpose of our pain and receive accurate messages – undeniable evidence – from loved ones, proving that spirit is always there.

So I believe any of us, who are dealing with grief, depression, desperate situations or thoughts, can be helped, guided and comforted by being open to and having faith in astrology. The cosmos guides us to spirit using the stars, and our personal cosmic weather clarifies when the veil is incredibly thin for us. A time when our transits and every mediumistic communication confirms spirit is always present, longing to help and that we are never actually alone.

And whilst it isn’t a magic wand that instantly transforms our life or erases our losses – as life can be cruel and our scars are real, hard-earnt and everlasting – they give us an anchor to cling onto.

As we can find our way to having faith in spirit and that our pain has a sacred, spiritual purpose. And to an understanding that our earthly struggles connect us to an eternal source of deep love, compassion and understanding.

The stars are our wise, ancient friends, and are always guiding us home to spirit.
