Mercury leaves home sign Gemini and moves into emotional, sensitive and deeply protective cardinal water sign Cancer today.
Cancer is the home sign of the Moon, merged and entwined with mothers, children, family, home, ancestors, our roots, nurture and memories.
Our emotional bonds to people and places. Where we came from, our origins, and where we feel we truly belong now. Our sense of home, how we feel truly safe and secure. How we find true emotional security in our inner world, our surroundings, and the outer world. What anchors and protects us internally, so that we feel safe and confident to navigate our life in the outer world.
Mercury in Cancer means our thoughts and communications will be influenced more by our feelings than logical reasoning. Collectively the emotional tides will rise in all of us, and we will all be feeling things at a deeper, more intense level.
Memories, past experiences and buried emotions may well surface.
Making the emotional atmosphere, our own emotions and the moods of others potentially reactive and complex. An emotional emphasis that could feel heavy, and almost substantial enough to be touchable at times.
Our own increased sensitivity means we could feel ourselves be very aware of the emotional landscape within us and around us, and may at times find this overwhelming. It’s a time to try and be gentle with ourselves and others.
Guidance from our loved ones and ancestors in spirit will also flow, and be easy to tune into.
Our intuitive senses are enhanced, and we need to make sure we are consciously listening and paying attention.
In Cancer, Mercury’s expertise at exchanging thoughts, ideas, and negotiating harmonious agreements, means life problems and dilemmas can potentially be resolved, diminished or find peaceful compromises through heartfelt conversations.
Especially around matters that involve emotional wounds, family, home or inheritances. And overall, or perhaps in particular, by joining forces or re-uniting with family and friends.
